How has the MAOP program impacted you directly?
It made me realize how to present yourself to institutions and faculty. I have grown professionally than I ever imagined. It has affected my speech, the way I dress, and how I present myself as a student and professional.
What was one of your most memorable moments at Virginia Tech?
Most memorable moment here at Virginia Tech is the summer of 2009. I was in the 2009 MAOP summer internship, and I met my current best friend. I made bonds with people that I never want to forget and hope to collaborate with in the near future. I have met people from all walks of life and see their humility and allowed it to change my perspective of decision making and choices.
What advice would you give to the current students at Virginia Tech?
Take advantage of all the seminars, money, opportunities, and time while you can. Once your time is up, there is no turning back or changing it up. Let yourself breathe and find what YOU want to do for the rest of your life.
